Jason Whitcomb

Jason graduated from South Burlington High School in June 2001, The Crane School of Music (B.M. Music Education) where he studied Trumpet under Dr. John Ellis in 2005 and The College Conservatory of Music in 2007 (M.M. Trumpet Performance) in Cincinnati, Ohio, studying with former Principal Trumpet of the Cincinnati Symphony, Philip Collins.  He has played with or continues to play with: Ottawa Symphony (Ottawa, Canada) Orchestra of Northern New York, Lima Symphony (OH), CCM Graduate Brass Quintet, West Virginia Symphony, and Vermont Mozart Festival Orchestra and Symphony.

Currently, Jason lives in Colchester, VT with his Fiancée Liane and three children, and is performing with his newly formed brass quintet “InoraBrass”, Middlebury Bach Festival Orchestra, Lyric Theater Pit, St. Michael Playhouse Pit, Harwood Union High School Pit, Contracting and playing with Middlebury Opera Company Orchestra and Green Mountain Valley School Musical Pit, as well as teaching 40+ students a week privately.  He is so appreciative that he is able to pass on his love and passion of music to others as his career.  His studio motto is “Creating independent musicians of all ages and abilities”.  Putting in hard work but also mixing in having fun and laughing accomplishes this.  There is nothing more fulfilling then constant improvement through performing!

For all levels and styles. Beginners are welcome!
